The Cracktrans Code

(This was started on GaiaOnline a while ago by Junyi called The Daisy Code. I've adapted it a bit to fit our situation a little better. If you wish to add things, please feel free.

The Cracktrans Code is basically a code of basic RP ethics to live by. I felt it necessary to put this up somewhere. I will admit here and now that I, myself, have broken this code several times over. This isn't a move to pass judgement on anyone, but it's something nice to look at and remember.

General

-Cracktrans is supposed to be fun. When Cracktrans stops being fun, the best idea is to step back and either go OOC or go do something else for a bit.

-If I'm in a bad mood when I log onto AIM, I won't take it out on other people. If I begin to take things out on people, I will step back, take a breath, and chillax.

-I'll be polite, courteous, and helpful whenever possible.

-I will try my hardest to be patient with newcomers. [ Damn n00bs ]

-My posts will be readable. They do not have to be grammatically perfect [ i.e. Slag, Grimlock, Swoop... ], but they will be made in a format, size and color that can easily be read.

-I will ignore Hook and anyone like Hook, as they are just looking for a response anyway.

-I will realize that what someone does or says IC is separate from how they feel OOC. Therefore, I will not take actions taken in character as a sign of how the player feels about me.

-I will remember "the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry." If this happens to me, I won't let it get to me.

IC

-I will try to keep up with what goes on in Cracktrans. If needed, I will make my own personal flowchart.

-I will share the spotlight. It isn't always just about me. There are other characters that need to be taken into consideration.

-I will keep my 'supah sekrit' abilities to a minimum.

-I will realize that some characters are simply more badass than other characters.

-I will not godmode.

-Just as I don't want others to control my characters, I will not control others'.

-I will ask permission before doing anything that would have a major effect on another character, both good and bad. I will also remember in character action = in character consequence.

OOC

-If I have a problem with another mun, I won't be a jerk to them in the chatroom. I'll simply ignore them.

-If I have a problem with another mun, I will calmly and rationally [and privately] speak with them on the matter. 

-If I have a problem with another mun, I will not take my problems out on their characters with my own.

-I will not manipulate a situation to my own benefit. [ Unless you're TC. ]

-I will not manipulate a mun through guilt trip or other device to get my own way.

-If I become uncomfortable with another mun and my character is bonded or otherwise, I will let that mun know.
