HISTORY
Optimus Prime is the leader of the Autobots. Once upon a time he was a lowly dock worker named Orion Pax, with a best friend named Dion and a girlfriend named Ariel. After a while he kind of tried to break off the relationship because he really didn't think she was his One True Love, but she wouldn't leave him alone, no matter how many hints he dropped (he was too nice to just say GTFO, BITCH). Then stuff happened, and Alpha Trion rebuilt him into Optimus Prime, and also gave him the Matrix! Yippie skippie! It was about this time that he met Megatron, and developed a crush, but their love was not to be realized until many, many, MANY years later, but we're getting ahead of ourselves. They did start dating, though, and it was really cute and tentative and sometimes they went behind closed doors and did things but they never bonded because of various reasons. Anyway.
So then the senate decided to send Optimus out on a mission to the far reaches of space, which he took!...except he, uh, didn't come back on time. Or remotely on time. He was pretty late, and when he came back, he was kind of different - more introverted, and not as funny as before. He had become emo (GASP), which pissed Megatron off and resulted in him standing Optimus up on a date at Iacon, and before you knew it the Autobots and the Decepticons were fighting over the Allspark but Optimus still loved Megatron but he had a planet and a people to save and couldn't let him get the Allspark. And to make a long story short, Cybertron was destroyed, the Allspark was lost, and the slag had hit the fan and they were all going off to find the Allspark.
A good few million years later, they found Earth. The Allspark was there, and also Megatron. And there was a giant robot fight in which Optimus made some human friends and realized that HEY, THESE GUYS AREN'T SO DIFFERENT FROM US AFTER ALL, WE SHOULDN'T HARM THEM EVEN IF THEY TAKE ONE OF OUR OWN CAPTIVE, and to make another long story short, just see the damn movie. Once the credits rolled and 'What I've Done' was over, he had Headquarters built, and waited for the rest of the Autobots to come and they could make a new happy life on this planet and Megatron is still alive? Frag.
You see, one of the ways Optimus had dealt with the war was telling himself that their relationship was over, even if he never really believed it and had hope but it wasn't going to work but HE STILL LOVED MEGATRON and good god it was the result of many, many emo songs on his playlist. However, Megatron lost his memory for a bit, which brought up the idea of reprogramming the Decepticon leader. Not only was it against Prime's ideals, but he didn't want a reprogrammed Megatron to be his boyfriend as was suggested - he wanted Megatron-Megatron to be his boyfriend. That was all he ever wanted, it was really sad, especially when he tried to avoid the amnesiac but Megatron still wanted to talk to him but it didn't last long. Finally it got to the point where they started tearing into eachother, and Prime couldn't help it anymore - he kissed him.
Then they went off somewhere and had it out verbally and it ended up in them bonding. That was cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute <3. The mun still has the logs, but she refuses to share, especially as there's Leaderslash on the community. That, and her client only saves in plaintext, as she can't figure out how to open the XML files. But let's go back within the fourth wall, now, shall we?
So after Prime and Megatron made up, and Megatron ended up crashing at Prime's place after they both got drunk at one of Frenzy's raves. The end result was that the rest of the Decepticons moved into Autobot Headquarters, much like the Brady Bunch. But before you knew it, Blackout had suddenly gotten captured by humans, and it turned out there was actually S7 still alive after all - and really, really against the Transformers living on their planet. Or being alive at all, really. A lot of guys wanted to just kill the humans/take over the planet, but Prime was pretty sure that it would result in Earth being destroyed - so he was going to speak with the President in person. Only it turned out that SOMEONE had infected him, among others, wiith the Talk-Like-A-Pirate Virus on the day it was planned, and all seemed lost...only apparently Mister President liked pirates, so it didn't go too badly. That being said...it didn't go well, either.
Knowing that S7 was monitoring their journals and whatnot, Prime decided to have a decoy base set up, in order to try and lure them into a trap. However, while en route to monitor its construction, he himself was captured (rather than risk having the Matrix used against them, he hid it) - and infected with a virus that took control of his processor. Calling itself Nemesis, and its new form Nemesis Prime, it claimed it would be able to kill Optimus himself and use its body for its own doing. However, Prime was stopped, and put under heavy sedation while the others tried to work on an antivirus - and then Megatron went off to get himself captured, which resulted in Prime beating back Nemesis and going on the rescue mission.
Thing was, Nemesis wasn't defeated - it was restrained, but it still tried to 'convince' Prime to act on darker aspects. It very nearly succeded in convincing him to destroy the base Megatron had been in, down to the last human - and go after anyone related to them. Megatron was able to bring him back to himself, and they went home, and hey, there was some more robopr0n only Nemesis had to watch and he thought it was really gross and whatnot. But it got to a point where he was able to launch brute force attack on the core processor, almost killing Optimus but then Ratchet gave him the antivirus and yay! Nemesis was gone! And Prime was happy.
...only kind of unsure of himself, and feeling like he wasn't ready to pick up the Matrix again. It took some time, and speaking with Primus himself before he put it back in, and just in time, really - he and Megatron went on vacation, only to be kidnapped by Quintessons. Who Prime revealed were actually the reason why he had come back late that one time - he had been in their custody, and had, apparently, been broken by them. But he and Megatron made a promise to get themselves - and Thundercracker and Sunstorm, who had been reprogrammed - out of there. After the Quintessons trying to carve a hole through Prime's spark chamber in torture and one failed escape attempt, they managed to lauch a jailbreak at the same time that the rest of the Transformers were launching an escape attempt. That one resulted in Prime killing three Quintessons with his Matrix (one had already been killed in the prior escape attempt - sucks to be Rage), and then they were all brought back and yay! People were rescued!
...oh, what the hell, Nemesis is still alive? Unicron and the Fallen are messing with mechs? Justice is still alive, and WTFVOK!?!
That's ok, though. Prime is absolutely certain that they all can get through and get that peace and rest they so all want. And not the sort that only comes when they're dead. He's still working on some plans to build them all a city, a place they can truly call home. Just keep swimming moving, just keep swimming moving...
SPECS/CAPABILITIES
- Has a Peterbilt 379 as an alt-mode. Someone tried to convince him into becoming a triple-changer with a flyer mode, but he's happy with what he's got. Can go at the Speed of Plot.
- Stands 28 feet tall when in standard mode. Uses a sword in his right arm, and an ion blaster as primary means of defending himself. When that doesn't work, he uses his fists.
- Is the current bearer of the
MacGuffin Matrix. Is, however, not the Chosen One, but that didn't stop him from opening it in the faces of the Quintessons or hasn't stopped him from using it in other ways. He is skilled in the ways of Matrix-fu, but all things considered, he's kind of a young Prime.
- Downloaded a hologram/holomatter form for himself after he was pulled over for speeding. Forgot about it until lately, when he realized he could use it to buy Megatron a balloon at Disneyland.
- Has a drone unit by the name of Roller that only speaks in emotes...and occasionally music lyrics. And ok, sometimes it chirps. Mostly though, o_o_o :O ..V.(^_^). Prime and Roller have some sort of mental link that makes it possible for Roller to semi-function on his own, although by all rights his programming makes him incapable of independant thought. Really, he's like Prime's inner drone...only he's on the outside. He looks like a Go-Kart with a gun on it, and yet can still somehow play I Never.
RELATIONSHIPS
MEGATRON
Cracktran's original and oldest OTP. There is no end to the faith and trust Prime has for Megatron - rather, his bonded's spark. It's not that he isn't aware of everything else, or has forgotten what happened in the past.Nor is he unaware of the fact that Megatron can be a little, um, well, okay maybe pretty damn violent sometimes and it's not that Prime likes it unless it's behind closed doors. But True Luv isn't so much blind, as accepting, and willing to work with what it has.
...that, and if Optimus ever feels the need to hide, Megatron's bigger than he is, even if it's only by a few feet.
THUNDERCRACKER
Confidante - and one of his best friends, though Optimus would never have thought it during the war. But when Thundercracker stood up for what he believed in its end, Optimus couldn't help but form a new kind respect for the Seeker.
